blah

The whole post-christmas thing is really boring, I don't want to go back to school, but I do want to see my friends from school. I was kinda sick today, so all I did was sleep all day, and that wasn't cool. My dad isn't gonna let me go to the Jack's Mannequin concert, but maybe I'll be able to go the The Red Jumsuit Apparattus' concert. I haven't gone running in a while, and I really need to do that. Yeah and we're probably not gonna be at church tomorrow. I'm really bored and tired, but not sleepy.

This song is really pretty, you should download it

Fire on the hill
Fire in me still
I feel out of my league
But you turn around and you say to me that

I love everybody here
And I agree
I love everybody here

Sun has long gone out
Sun comes up like it's been about a year
I don't mind if we
Drink again my friend

'cause there is so much left to say
There is so much left to say
There is so much left to say
There is so much left to say

People for miles, opening up
People for miles, in focus and not
We'd be ok if
We had answers to questions in rhymes and in reasons
You leave it to me to be all of four seasons

You say I love everybody here
And I agree
I love everybody here
I love everybody here
I love everybody here
I love everybody here
I love everybody here
Life is beautiful for sure
'cause I love everybody here

CDs I Got Yesterday and Today

(my rating is out of five stars *)

The Afters - I Wish We All Could Win * * *
Pros: the first three songs are awesome
Cons: the last seven songs are praise-like, which some people like, but I don't really

Head Automatica - Popaganda * * * *
Description: Powerpop
Pros: most of the music is really fun with good beats and unique vocals
Cons: the song "K Horse" has the "F" word in it and the whole song is just ok

Switchfoot - Oh! Gravity * * * * *
Description: Alt. Rock
Pros: one of the best CDs ever. catchy rhythms, cool melodies, and unique twists. I love it!
Cons: we have to wait a couple of years for the next CD

The Academy Is... - Almost Here * * * *
Description: Powerpop
Pros: the sound and the lyriccs are really cool
Cons: the song "Black Mamba" has the "F" and "S" words in it (but the song itself is cool)

Boys Like Girls - Boys Like Girls * * * *
Description: Powerpop
Pros: cool sound, simlar to The Academy Is...
Cons: the song "Broken Man" has the "S" word in it

Mae - The Everglow * * * *
Description: Rock (on the soft side)
Pros: some of the songs have melodies with a lot of feeling
Cons: annoying prolouge and epilouge. the songs are pretty similar

Our Lady Peace - Healthy In Paranoid Times * * * * * (so far)
Description: Alt. Rock (a lot like Switchfoot)
Pros: Amazing melodies and lyrics (I haven't listenned to the whole thing yet). they ask some really good questions in their songs
Cons: I'm gonna feel obligated to buy their other CDs (and they have a lot of CDs)

Fun Times

Last night, this morning, it's all the same. I spent the night over my cousins' house last night with Gilbert (not my cousin) and Gregg. We watched TV and movies 'till 3, then talked 'till 5, then slept till an hour ago (11:00). Today, I get to hang out with some friends from school. Yeah, Christmas break has been good to me.

"But if you left it up to me, every day would be a holiday from real. We'd waste our weeks beneath the sun; we'd fry our brains and write it's so much fun out here. When it's all over I'll go back for another year." Jack's Mannequin - Holiday From Real

It Is Good

Today was pretty good (Other than getting really mad at two people for two completely seperate reasons). My class placed 2nd out of 9 classes in the christmas decorating contest just behind the sophmores, with the juniors in 3rd (Alex's class). Our theme was a White Christmas premiere; we had a red carpet a real tree and I spent like 2 hrs stringing cranberries last night. It looked really cool. AND...

Drumroll Please...

I GOT MY BRACES OFF!!!!!!
But now I have to wear this stupid retainder, and it makes me lisp. lol

Goodbye Sanity

There is so much going on, I think I'm gonna explode. I can't even take it day by day, it's so complex. Right now school is having a room decorating contest (if we win they'll pay for lunch for our class's Christmas party on Friday) and the judging is on Thursday. I have two consecutive concerts on Thursday, our school's christmas concert, and on Friday, the pageant of peace on the elipse in D.C.. Christmas is almost here, and I haven't bought a single gift. Besides the scedule, there's other things occupying my mind. There are some jerks at school who are total idiots. For example, I wore a scarf the other day (Apparrently I'm one of the only ones who's secure enough to try new stuff) and this completely annoying kid is like "ewww joey's wearing a man scarf! That's so gay" of course I could swear he's gay, but I'm not going there. Just about all the girls though, and the few cool guys were fine. Rockbridge life is kinda strange, people get P.O.ed over the most immature things.

Jack's Mannequin -The Mixed Tape

I'm sorry for going JM crazy, but they are amazing.

Elation and Remorse (but more of the first)

Over all, I have a lot to be happy about, but nothing is ever perfect (I'm not going there now). Saturday is gonna be fun; ice skating is a blast (I'm definitely making Alex stay 'till ten if anyone else is planning on doing that), and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to get for my secret santa person. Nothing terrible has happenned in the past couple days. I'm extremely psyched about the Jack's Mannequin concert even though it's almsot three months away, and I have a "probably" from my dad on going. AND Christmas is soon, so I have about a week and a half left of school. I think I'm starting to sound like an unnaturally optimistic blonde, so I'm gonna shut up now.

Your comments please.

Tomorrow

My family is going christmas tree hunting in the afternoon, but I have the option of doing something else if I really want to. I really want to go roller skating, but I don't have a ride, so if I don't get a ride, which i probably won't, i won't be able to come. If you want to drive me, leave me a comment or call.

I'm In Heaven!

I found two amazing concerts, one which is definitely coming to the 9:30 club in D.C. and the other that is not certain yet, but the tour is going to 40 cities and one of those is bound to be either Baltimore or D.C.

The definite one is Jack's Mannequin (Dark Blue) with Head Automatica and The Audition
Jack's Mannequin has a lot of amazing songs and their CD is probably the best CD I own. Head Automatica sounds a lot like Jack's Mannequin with a little more of a pop edge and over all a lot of fun. The Audition Has some really good stuff too, fitting the mold of the other two bands without being unoriginal. Check them out they're all really good. It would be really cool if i got a bunch of people to go to this. It sounds like a really fun concert.

The other one is the Take Action Tour, which has The Red Jumpsuit Apparattus (Face Down) as the main act along with Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Static Lullubye, and Kaddisfly. This concert will have a much harder sound, which also would be a lot of fun, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparattus is totally amazing. I'll keep my eyes out for news on this one.

Frustrated Empty And Confused

Those three words describe exactly how I feel right now, and I don't even know why. There are a lot of things prominent in my life right now that could explain, but none of them are severely bothering me now. I think it's my lack of progress. I've been sitting here on the computer for a couple hours, and I would gladly do something worth while, but nothing comes to mind. I'm missing something that is full of meaning, and I can't figure out what the heck it is. I need something more in my life, but there are always insurmountable barriers in the way of my efforts.

Prayer would be nice

I want to say something on a lighter note, but humor escapes me at the moment.

Oh Yeah! Jonathan turned 3 today!

What I've Done All Week

Wednesday, our first day here, was really boring, and I was really tired. All I did that day was sitting around reading magazines and listenning to my ipod.
Thursday, Thanksgiving day, I got up and ran a 3 mile race in 30 degree weather, then later of course I ate Thanksgiving dinner.
Friday, several members of my extended family went to a friend's farm, not the kind with tons of smelly animals, but the kind with lots of really cool land which would have been awesome for manhunt or capture the flag. Meanwhile, Alex watched James Bond all day.
Saturday (Today), just my family went back to the farm to take some family pictures. Then we ate lunch at this pizza place in downtown Brattleboro, and I got stuffed. So that brings me to right now. Tonight at midnight we're leaving for home, which should take between 7 and 8 hrs., and, if all goes right, I should be at church tomorrow morning.

From Brattleboro VT

I just ran a 5k (3.16 mi.) my time was 19:56, just ok. Wow Vermonters are FAST! I got blown away.

Happy Thanksgiving, one of the least corrupted but most boring holidays.

Can't wait to be back home.
